"All That Talk of Depression is Depressing"
In response to: http://www.globalresearch.ca/index.php?context=va&aid=11149
Schechter is absolutely right about the first step being to abandon illusions and recognize this is a "system problem." but what are those illusions and what is the problem in the system?
His question about expecting too much from our politicians answers those questions, or at the very least begins to. The illusion is to expect anything from them. This is a system manufactured by elites and politicians. They don't know what went wrong and all they will do is push this problems out the window of their ivory tower onto the masses below and ask us to shoulder the weight of their mistake to make it through so they can continue to do the same things. #8 on the list demonstrates this very well. "Treasury sneaks corporate tax credits into bailout giveaway, shifts costs to states" If local government gives people the most say and control over their immediate environment, and the federal government is dumping their financial problems on the smaller governments, the costs will start to hit the people and the effects will be felt more and more.

Highs and lows
You must experiences lows to experiences highs. but I believe there is a way of thinking that allows you to reduce the time of the lows and accentuate the highs. Instead of risk management in terms of dollars, its risk management in terms of happiness. If we all understand that we all do not enjoy being dissatisfied, we should all express our dissatisfaction immediately so that new ideas can be formulated to move from that feeling of depression to the high of happiness. Depressions must occur. not only economically in the empirical world but in the emotional world. But we have a choice of what those depressions entail. Either we can immediately recognize problems and look for solutions or we can continue to believe that the ends justify the means.
The reflection cycle. Learning Cycle. Whatever you want to call it. The process where you examine your environment and invent ways to improve it to make it more comfortable and more desirable. Whether aesthetically or emotionally.
It is constant and never ending. This must be understood.

More propaganda. Any criticism of Israel's actions and policies draws the "OMG you're an anti-Semite" argument. How am I racist for calling out a country for killing people? how is bombing Arab population centers and firing blindly into schools and hospitals indiscriminately, not racist?
Israel is a bigger nuclear power than Great Britain. They are the super power in the region. The majority of yearly US international aid goes to Israel and the US arms them to the teeth. Israel received $25,832,916,000* for weapons and military assistance between 2001-2005 from the United States alone. How many tanks and planes do the Palestinians have? 0.
Zionists, you were wrong. How about spending the $25,832,916,000 on food and homes instead of using it to destroy lives.

I am going to start posting sentences quoted from articles mentioning the need for ordinary people to organize. I have read it over and over and over all over the place for several months and it is coming out more and more in major news sources.
I believe that this is where the next revolution will come. From ordinary people organizing and directly solving their own problems.
But what about all those big corporations and governments with all that money and all those guns?
They fucked up the planet. Where I live and where I eat. It is pretty hard to deny and they sure as hell can't deny the deaths and starvation of millions. Let's indict them.
"George Papandreou, the opposition leader, has denounced the plan as an example of the state’s capture by special interests, implying that the only hope of fighting back lies in the mobilisation of ordinary people, determined to save whatever remains of the country’s pristine beauty."

I believe we can now say, HEY, WE'RE ALL THE SAME FUCKIN THING AND WANT THE SAME SHIT SO LETS STOP FIGHTING FOR IT AND WORK TOGETHER TO GET MORE OUT OF IT. other species are territorial and fight. does it have to do with communication? I would say so. Language has given us a more in depth understanding of the world. When you communicate with a dog he understands you to a certain degree. He understands good and bad tones and their varying degrees. But the communication gap is immense. now to think of how hard communicating between humans is even though we can speak to each other. Why is the natural communication process and the skills associated with it not taught in schools? I'm not talking about speech class where you learn to give power point presentations. we don't learn how to argue and resolve problems. we are not taught how to democratically come to a consensus in high school. Student government does not teach us how to do that. The dominant institutions of our time teach us. What are those institutions? Corporations. How do they teach us to resolve our problems? By winning. By what means? Any. How do they teach us? The media outlets they own. We are taught to resolve problems always with the interests of the elites in mind. We are not taught to solve problems for our personal well being. You know, what the sciences offer, producing technology to make life easier, improving health... We're only given so much to make sure we don't fall out of line. Unless your knowledge does not produce capital, it is worthless. By law.
Capital Production = Debt Creation
